Step 1

Step 1: Dehusking

The first step in rice processing is dehusking, where the outer husk of the paddy grain is carefully removed. This process transforms raw paddy into brown rice. At Alija Organic Foods Pvt. Ltd., we use modern dehusking machines that ensure minimal grain breakage while preserving the natural nutrients of the rice.

Step 2: Whitening

Once the husk is removed, the rice goes through the whitening process. In this stage, the bran layers surrounding the rice kernel are gently removed. This step enhances the texture, appearance, and cooking qualities of the rice, ensuring that the grains are uniform and smooth.

Step 3: Polishing

Polishing is a critical step that gives the rice its signature glossy, white finish. It not only improves the visual appeal but also enhances the taste and aroma of the rice. Our advanced polishing techniques ensure the rice remains free from impurities while retaining its natural fragrance.

Step 4: Grading

After polishing, the rice is graded into various categories based on grain length, size, and overall quality. This ensures that only the finest grains are selected for premium packaging and export. Grading allows us to meet the diverse needs of our clients, from households to international markets, with consistency and reliability.

Replacement of Old Machinery with Modern Technology

We have modernized our operations by replacing traditional stone disk hullers and vertical cone polishers with emery-coated cylinders, friction-type whitener polishers, and advanced dry & wet mist polishers. This upgrade ensures better polishing, enhanced grain quality, and an improved glossy finish, all while maintaining energy efficiency and reducing wastage.
